In a sale normal prices are reduced by 20%.

A washing machine has a sale price of £464.

By how much money is the normal price of the washing machine reduced?

Was that the question?! Oh no
I must have misread it.. I thought it was asking for the orginal price.. What would I get if I gave my answer as £580?? I did 464/80 x 100 :/

For that question i only done 464/0.80 to get 580, forgot to write the difference, how many marks would i get out of 3?

Think I got about 161 marks. Any idea on what grade this is anybody?

Thanks

Sir, what mark do you think you need to get at least a B?

I'm really not sure. I'm afraid you will just have to wait and see.

2 out of 3

Sir, I got small tray for question 7 but I was just wondering what the working out would be for it?

Could you give more detail for the final question please?
What would the explanation involved?
Thank you sir you're a hero

Depends on boundaries but it's definitely an A. Could be an A* but I doubt it because the exam was fairly straight forward.

I think it will be an A because June 2013 was 165 for an A* and I thought it was harder than this one so I would expect the grade boundaries to be higher

Sir, I got small tray for question 7 but I was just wondering what the working out would be for it?

small tray - 21.666p per plant

medium tray - 22.375p per plant

large tray - 21.98p per plant

Thank yo, also for question 22 b) (trapezium) i put x^2+x-351 in the quadratic formula to get x=26 cm , i guess i should of halved that to get 13 so how many marks would i get out of 3 for that?

Thank you so much feeling confident now hopefully it will pull off and I won't get dropped sets!!!

Thanks, what do you think the minimum for an A will be?

From looking at these results and the non-calc results , I got around 70 for each paper. Do you think this will be good enough for an A or will I be stuck with just another high B :/ cause I have a feeling the grade boundaries may be higher this year. Have the grade boundaries ever been over 140 for an A?

Thanks for the answers Mr M! What was the Pythagoras question?

How did everyone else to question 14? Did they find the midpoints and times them by the frequency, add them up and then divide by the frequency?

Also did you plot the frequency polygon with the midpoints??

I did that too... At least its only one mark.

Does anyone remember the actual question to 12 and 15?
