Robot Voice Modulator : 14 Steps (with Pictures) - biasmustionown
Introduction: Robot Voice Modulator
This is a simple to build device that converts your have human voice into a superior automaton articulation. It also includes a number of sweet features like an audio-in jack so that you dismiss connect all of your loved instruments, microphones and music players, a vibrato mode and impressive pitch shifting buttons. It can be shifted two total octaves in either focus. This provides for sempiternal hours of fun (at the expense of everyone around you).
To here some crazy robot and pitch shifting litigate feel out the file posted below.
Step 1: Go Get Stuff
You wish need:
- A clock physical structure
- An adjustable gir desk lamp
- A HT8950 voice modulator
- A PCB
- An 18-pin socket
- 4 SPST buttons
- Electret mic
- Parts for the circuit (encounter side by side step for inside information)
- Wire
- 2 1/8" audio jacks
- A power source
- Misc ironware
(Note that approximately of the golf links on this Thomas Nelson Page are affiliate links. This does not change the cost of the item for you. I reinvest whatever proceeds I receive into making new projects. If you would like any suggestions for secondary suppliers, please let Pine Tree State know.)
Step 2: The Circuit
Bread board the "HT8950 with a Transistor Output Poin and a 6V Power Supply" circuit found in the official data sheet minus the electronic transistor output represent. As an alternative, wire that to an sound out jack.
And then solder the circuit onto a PCB, temporarily omitting things like the microphone, audio knucklebones and switches. This leave be added later.
You prat run to make sure the board kit and caboodle away adding additional hookup wires for the audio jacks and mike and copulative them through a breadboard.
Ill-trea 3: Get Bendy Arm
Break apart your fluorescent desk lamp and remove the nifty bend arm.
Don't remove the lamp wire from inside the limb. You will pauperization this to hook up your mike. Therefore, don't trig it too finis.
Leave the mounting square bracket still affianced at the bottom of the arm.
Step 4: Bracket out Stencil
Cut out a bracket stencil using the attached file.
If you happen to have an awesome Epilogue laser cutter like we behave at Instructables than you can use that to cut out the pattern onto a piece of record. If you don't, an Exacto knife will do.
Place this pattern onto what you feel will be the back out edge of the robot voice simple machine.
Drill kayoed all of the holes with a world power drill.
Step 5: Control Panel
Laser gelded a control panel stunned of awesome obvious side-glow yellow acrylic fiber using the file cabinet below.
If you wear't have an amazing Epilogue optical maser cutter than you can start out the same effect with a jigsaw and a mightiness drill with befitting size bits.
Place the plastic clock present upside down inside the clock body so rest the yellow piece snugly on top of IT.
Step 6: Buttons
Insert your push buttons into the acrylic. Wire together ground to all of the buttons and the other wire to the respective pins connected the PCB.
Step 7: Mount the Angle bracket
Mount the bendable arm to the clock body using nuts and bolts.
Step 8: Microphone
Mount a nice-looking just at the end of the pliant arm so solder and glue the microphone inside of it.
Step 9: Drill Around More Holes
Insert the clock face upside down into the time dead body. Drill four holes to match into the top side perfect clock body to match the mounting holes in the corners of your PCB.
Stride 10: Plugs
Cut holes in the backside of the clock trunk such that you can mount your power jack, audio jacks and power switch.
Step 11: Mount the Circuit
Blow over the extra assemblage wires for the mike, jackstones and magnate through the climb holes in the PCB and subsequently done the holes you right drilled in the clock dial.
Continue passing them through the clock body until they are out the back of the case. Twist them together to tie the circuit card in place.
Step 12: Glue
Put a little moment of hot glue between the side of the front instrument panel and the clock body at various points or so the edge of the case.
Step 13: Telegraph It Up
Wire finished the switch to toggle between the audio in jack and the microphone.
Wire the power to the big businessman wires and the audio out out jack to the sound out wires.
Footprint 14: Plug and Fun
Turn it happening and let your owl rock out on the dance (apartment) floor intergalactic golem-styly.
