Nvidia Shield Controller Pc Driver Download

Practise you hateful the controller is not detected by the Shield device when using the steam Streaming app? I understand it needs to be wired in with GeForce Experience installed to work with any device other than the Shield.

I apply the shield controller (2017 version) with a Shield TV (2015 version) wirelessly. There was a recent firmware update for controller and remote released by Nvidia.

No u do not demand GFE for NVIDIA Controller to work; the NVIDIA GPU Commuter Suite contains driver for those Controllers; they part just like Xbox Controller when using for Games on WinOS PC.

So heres the deal.. i run with dual monitors and institute out that without a reason GFE is causing lag to my master monitor when gaming. even when only i scout youtube on 2nd monitor for instance.

and so i got rid of GFE and then nvidia shield controller stopped appearing on Steam. then can someone tell me how/where tin can i go this controller software without needing to install the GFE.. this is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up i can't believe why GFE would lag the game

Thanks for the tip. I tried information technology myself. However, I can't find the controller on the device manager to update the driver simply the NVidia controller shows upwards on windows settings devices connected.

Works equally a generic controller on my steam link though without uploading any drivers.

Ok sounds good, yea when its on the Gaming PC, load upwardly Steam > Big Picture Fashion and check Controller Options, back up for PS4/XBO types should be off and the controller should be seen properly (like a generic 360 controller) so examination locally on that system in a game. If working fine then information technology should work the same on the Steam Link equally well.

Bottom line for anyone asking; always connect and install Controllers to the host gaming PC get-go before using them on the Steam Link.

I had the such an effect - shield controller 2017 wasn't properly installed in Windows10 and doesn't work in any game (In devices it was in unspecified section with generic icon. That was while I had actual version of Geforce Feel (3.9.something).
Only when I uninstalled this new GE and installed the old 2.11.4.0 version of GE, Shield Controller installed itself properly and now it works well.

You could take just changed the Driver yourself via Device Manager.
Which you'd take to do anyways if you had say, AMD GPU.
Y'all don't need Geforce Experience installed to install Shield Controller.

btw i institute the solution..

Press Windows cardinal + R.
Enter "msconfig" in the entry field and hit enter.
Select the "Startup" tab and hit "Disable All" button.
Get to the "Services" tab, bank check the "Hide All Microsoft Services" checkbox and so hit the "Disable All" button.
find services start with "NVIDIA" and simply enable post-obit 2:
ane. NVIDIA LocalSystem Container
two. NVIDIA Telemetry Container
Those 2 will observe the controller.
Click the "OK" button and shut the utility, and restart your computer when prompted to.
